That’s right, this is the first time I’ve ever gone this long without a new post. So here is my update of how I have been dealing with my heat shield. I got it installed on my second home after it had been a new home for over a year.
It has been a struggle to get rid of it. I tried using a power drill, but the drill is so small you wouldn’t be able to get it out without damaging the house. I also tried to use a screwdriver to unscrew the heat shield, but that also failed because the heat shield is so thin. So I resorted to using a screwdriver to force the heat shield up and then unscrew it.
I’ve got to say I’ve never had a problem with heat shield issues in fact I am very happy with it. I was using a different battery at the time, but I did feel that it would be easier to just have both heat shield and power supply in place for my entire family. I had no idea that I would be dealing with a power supply, but it is a piece of equipment that is worth its weight in gold.

If you dont have a heat shield, you can use a liquid fire extinguisher (which is what we are using) to safely cover your body in a fire-resistant suit.
We are using a liquid fire extinguisher because we have to keep the fire going while we are wearing this suit. The liquid fire extinguisher is actually very safe. The fire will not spread to your body. We are using it for two reasons. One, because it’s safe to use with these suits, and two, because in the past, we have found that it has actually stopped several fires from getting out of control.
