This one has been a big favorite of mine since my first trip to Turkey in 2012. I love it because it’s a fresh, flavorful way to enjoy some of the most amazing apples I’ve ever tasted. It was first created in Turkey and then brought to the states as a way to make it easier for people who can’t get to the grocery store to prepare, even if it means calling in the help of a local.
The recipe is made from the Turkish Apple and Grapefruit and is a pretty straightforward process. Apples are soaked in water overnight, then filtered and sliced into small cubes. Grapefruit is soaked for 20 minutes, then squeezed over a strainer to remove the seeds. The resulting slurry is then blended with the apple cubes in a high-speed blender. The end result is delicious and very refreshing.
There’s not much to it, but I love the idea of using a fruit that’s usually thought of as a “trash” to add to my tea. Turmeric, a popular spice in the curry community, is also used in this recipe. Turmeric improves a bit the taste of green tea, but it really helps sweeten the drink.
Turmeric is a spice that I’ve never really been able to get into my cup of tea, but I have a little bit of a thing about turmeric. It’s a spice that adds a nice flavor to green tea, but it’s also a spice that we associate with the more spiritual aspects of our culture, so it’s used in a lot of the prayers and rituals I participate in.
If you’re curious about the history of turmeric, I’ve been able to research a lot about it, including turmeric’s importance as an herb for the ancient Roman Empire. Turmeric is also mentioned in the story of Jesus’ mother Mary and her children, which is a good reason to make this drink.
The spice turmeric is actually one of the oldest known spices, used in the 5th Century BC when the Greeks began to use it as an herb for its medicinal properties. It seems to have been associated with the Roman Republic, when the Roman army used it to combat malaria. As far as I know, turmeric has been used in the U.S. since around the year 1900.
So what exactly is turmeric? It’s a type of root that grows in the ground, making it a tough vegetable. It’s also used in traditional medicine for a variety of ailments. I guess what really interests me about this drink is that the turmeric I’m drinking is actually from the fruit of a wild fruit tree.
The flavor is sweet, a little zingy, and a little peppery. It’s a little earthy too. The only other thing I can think of that might help with this is drinking a lot of water.
And as the name “turkish” suggests, the drink is made with turmeric tea. Like a lot of things, the recipe is a case of “try it, then you’ll know.” Basically, the juice from the turmeric tree is distilled into a tea and then blended with some sugar and lemon. The turmeric is then powdered, and the recipe ends with the addition of mint leaves to the drink.
The whole idea of turkish apple tea is to use turmeric tea, and to add a little citrus flavor, but not too much. The drink is supposed to be a refreshing, refreshing drink. It is supposed to taste a little earthy and a little peppery. It is supposed to be quite tart. It is supposed to be slightly tart but still refreshing. It is supposed to be a pretty good drink. It’s a bit of a mixed bag, though.
